IS 15111 : Part 1 : 2002 Self Ballasted Lamps for General Lighting Services - Part 1 : Safety Requirements

1 scope

This standard (Part 1) specifies the safety andinterchangeability requirements together with the test methods andconditions, required to show compliance of tubular fluorescent andother gas discharge lamps with integrated means for controllingstarting and stable operation (self ballasted lamps), intended fordomestic and similar general lighting purposes having:

a) a rated wattage up to and including 26 W,

b) a rated voltage up to and including 250 V, and

c) Edison screw E 14 and E 27 or bayonet caps B 15d and B 22d.

The performance requirements are given in Part 2 of thisstandard.

Recommendations for whole product testing are underconsideration.
