NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) (First Revision) which is identical to IS/ISO 9110-2 : 2020 ‘Hydraulic fluid power - Measurement techniques - Part 2: Measurement of average steady-state pressure in a closed conduit' issued by the International Organization for Standardization was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Fluid Power Systems Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2002. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 9110-2.

The major changes in this revision are as follows:

a) Additional terms and definitions have been added;

b) The evaluation of the readability of measuring instruments has been deleted and moved to IS 15181(Part 1);

c) The calibration of working instruments has been deleted and moved to IS 15181(Part 1);

d) The selection and installation of test equipment has been revised and combined and test data acquisition has been renamed as measuring instrument selection; and

e) Clause on 'Total measurement uncertainty' has been added.
