This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with IEC61287-1 : 1995 `Power convertors installed on board rolling stock -Part 1 : Characteristics and test methods issued by theInternational Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by theBureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the PowerElectronics Sectional Committee and approval of theElectrotechnical Division Council.
