1. SCOPE

This standard specifies requirements for the following halogenated hydrocarbons for use as tire extinguishing media:

a) Halon 1211 [bromochlorodifluoromethane (CF₂CIBr)]; and

b) Halon 1301 [bromotrifluoromethane (CF₃Br)].
