IS 1528 : Part 18 : 1993 /ISO 3187 : 1989 Methods of Sampling and Physical Tests for Refractory Materials - Part 18 : Determination of Creep in Compression

NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 3187 : 1989`Refractory products - Determination of creep in compression',issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO),was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on therecommendations of Refractory Sectional Committee (MTD 15) andapproval of the Metallurgical Engineering Division Council.

The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable forpublication as Indian Standard without deviations. Certainterminology and conventions are, however, not identical to thoseused in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to thefollowing:

a) Wherever the words `ISO 3187' appear referring to thisstandard, they should be read as `IS 1528 (Part 18)'; and

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker which in IndianStandards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as thedecimal marker.
