NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 20) (First Revision) which is identical to ISO 5013 : 1985 ‘Refractory products - Determination of modulus of rupture at elevated temperatures’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Refractories Sectional Committee and approval of the Metallurgical Engineering Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1993 which was identical with ISO 5013 : 1985 ‘Refractory products - Determination of modulus of rupture at elevated temperatures. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to correct the IS No. which was inadvertently mentionedas IS 1528 (Part 15) : 1993/ISO 5013 : 1985 and the standard also incorporates amendments issued to its previous version. However, no technical modifications are being issued in this current revision.
