1 SCOPE

This standard specifies requirements of lifts for accessibility for persons including persons with disabilities.

This standard specifies the minimum requirements for the safe and independent access and use of lifts by persons, including persons with disabilities mentioned in the Annex A, Table 2. Requirements specified in this standard are in addition to those specified in IS 14665 (Part 3), IS 15785, IS 14671, as applicable.
