This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with ISO 8670-1: 1988 `Ostomy collection bags - Part 1: Vocabulary issued by theInternational Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted bythe Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of theArtificial Limbs, Rehabilitation Appliances and Equipment for theDisabled Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipmentand Hospital Planning Division Council.
