IS 15402 : 2003 Ceramic Fibre Blanket Insulation - Specification

1 Scope

This standard prescribes the requirements and the methods ofsampling and test for high temperature ceramic fibre blanketcomprising generally thermal insulation of alumina-silica systemfibre and alumina-zirconia-silica system fibre.

When the installation or use of thermal insulation materials,accessories and system may pose safety or health problems, themanufacturers shall voluntarily provide the use with appropriatecurrent information regarding any known problems associated withthe recommended use of the companys products and shall alsorecommended protective measures to be employed in their safeutilization. The use shall establish appropriate safety and healthpractices and determine the applicability of regulatoryrequirements prior to use.
