1. Scope

This recommended practice covers test procedure for measuring ultrasonic velocity in materials by utilizing conventional ultrasonic flaw detector giving A-scan output. This practice depends on comparing the unknown u krasonic velocity of the test material with that of accurately known velocity in a reference material.
