Revised Standard from Last Update.

NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 4) (Second Revision) which is identical with ISO 9182-4 : 2020 ‘Tools for pressing - Guide pillars - Part 4: Type C, pillars with taper lead and bush’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Metal Forming Machines Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2004 and subsequently revised in 2018. First revision of this standard was identical with ISO 9182-4 : 2013. The second revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of the ISO 9182-4 : 2020.

The major changes in this revision are as follows:

a) Addition of surface roughness indications in Fig. 1.

b) Addition of the dimensioning of the taper of the pillar (Fig. 1) and of the bush (Fig. 2).
