1 Scope

This standard (Part 5) gives guidance on the increasinginfluence of the production control system throughout themanufacturing organization. Information flows between managementfunctions and the ways in which they are used in the control of theorganization, are described in some detail. Formats and methods oftransmission, presentation and revision of information are alsoconsidered. Emphasis is given to the design of the productioncontrol system to meet the control requirements of theorganization.
