This Indian Standard (Part 2) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 16589-2 : 2011 ‘Rotary shaft lip-type seals incorporating thermoplastic sealing elements - Part 2: Vocabulary’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Gasket and Packing Sectional Committee, and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division Council.
