NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) which is identical with IEC 60268-2 (1987) ‘Sound system equipment - Part 2 : Explanation of general terms and calculation methods’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Acoustics and Recording Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
