Revised Standard from Last Update.

NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 4766 : 2011 ‘Slotted set screws with flat point’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the General Engineering and Fasteners Standards Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2005 as an identical adoption of ISO 4766 : 1983. The first revision has been taken up to align it with the latest version of ISO 4766 : 2011. The major changes in this revision are as follows:

– Table in clause 4 ‘Specifications and reference International Standards’ has been modified.
