NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 2710-2 : 2019 ‘Reciprocating internal combustion engines - Vocabulary - Part 2: Terms for engine maintenance’ issued by International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Automotive Prime Movers, Transmission Systems and Internal Combustion Engines Sectional Committee and approval of the Transport Engineering Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2006. This first revision has been undertaken to harmonize it with ISO 2710-2 : 2019.
