1. Scope

This standard lays down the minimum requirements for the material, design, construction and workmanship, manufacturing processes and tests of refillable seamless aluminium alloy gas cylinders of water capacities from 0.5 litre up to and including150 litre for compressed, liquefied gases except liquefied petroleum gases (LPG).

NOTE - If so desired, cylinders of water capacity less than 0.5 litre may be manufactured and certified to this standard.
