IS 15670 : 2006 Water Quality - Determination of Certain Organochlorine Insecticides, Polychlorinated Biphenyls and Chlorobenzenes - Gas Chromatographic Method After Liquid-Liquid Extraction

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 6468:1996 Water quality - Determination of certainorganochlorine insecticides, polychlorinated biphenyls and chlorobenzenes - Gas chromatographicmethod after liquid-liquid extraction issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Pesidicides and Pesticides Residue Analysis Sectional Committee and approval of the Food and Agriculture Division Council.

The text of the ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standardwithout deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards.Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words International Standard appear referring to this standard, they shouldbe read as Indian Standard.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the currentpractice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.In reporting the results of a test or analysis made in accordance with this standard, if the final value,observed or calculated, is to be rounded off, it shall be done in accordance with IS 2:1960 Rules forrounding off numerical values (revised).
