IS 1576 : 1992 Solid pressboard for electrical purposes - specification

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements and methods ofsampling and test for solid pressboards, dyed or of natural colour,having a calendered finish and supplied in an unimpregnated condition.

1.2 It does not cover strawboard (not considered desirable for electrical purposes) and laminated material (made by combiningseveral sheets of pressboard with an adhesive) and press-paper.
