This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 62259 : 2003 `Secondarycells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes -Nickel-cadmium prismatic secondary single cells with partial gasrecombination issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendationof the Secondary Cells Sectional Committee and approval of theElectrotechnical Division Council.
