IS 15769 : 2008 Flux Cored (Tubular) Eelectrodes for Gas Shielded and Self-Shielded Metal Welding of Carbon or Carbon-Manganese Steel
Reaffirmed 2021
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements forcontinuous flux cored (tubular) electrodes for metalarc welding with and without shielding gas anddepositing carbon or carbon manganese steel weldmetal having a tensile strength not exceeding610 MPa. The standard does not cover productsintended for submerged arc welding, electrogasarc welding and electroslag welding.
It is recognized that the operating characteristicsof flux cored (tubular) electrodes can be modifiedby the use of pulsed current but for the purposesof this standard, puked current is not used fordetermining the electrode classification.
