1 Scope

This standard specifies requirements for good practicesthat an organization needs to implement to demonstratecompliance with the legal requirements related toenvironment, occupational health and safety.

It does not itself state specific criteria related toenvironment, occupational health and safetyperformance, This standard is applicable to anyorganization that wishes to:

a) assure itself of compliance with the applicablelegal requirements related to environment,occupational health and safety;

b) demonstrate such compliance with others;

c) seek certification/registration by an externalorganization; and

d) make a self-determination and self-declarationof conformance with this standard.
