IS 15803 : 2008 Respiratory Protective Devices - Self Contained Closed Circuit Breathing Apparatus Chemical Oxygen (KO2) Type, Self Generating, Self Rescures - Specification

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes requirements for chemicaloxygen (KO₂) type self generating, self rescuers andits methods of tests.

1.2 This standard excludes devices for work and rescueor to diving apparatus.

NOTE - For testing as per this standard if for any reason acomplete apparatus is not tested then simulation of apparatusis permitted provided the respiratory characteristics and massdistribution are similar to those of the complete apparatus.
