IS 15866 : PART 1 : 2010/IEC 60938-1 : 2006 : Fixed Inductors For Electromagnetic Interference Suppression Part-1 Generic Specification

NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with IEC 60938-1 : 2006 ‘Fixed inductors for electromagnetic interference suppression — Part 1: Generic specification’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Semiconductor and Other Electronic Components and Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

The IEC 60938-1 was originally published in 1999 and later issued Amendment No. 1 to this IEC Publication and incorporated the same into the standard in 2006 and published the standard as Edition-2.1 of IEC 60938-1.

The text of IEC Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker in the International Standard while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
