NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 5894 : 2018 ‘Ships and marine technology - Manholes with bolted covers’ issued by International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards, on recommendation of the Shipbuilding Sectional Committee and approval of the Transport Engineering Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2009. This first revision of this standard has been undertaken to harmonize it with the latest version of ISO 5894 : 2018.
