NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 11494 : 2019 ‘Jewellery and precious metals — Determination of platinum in platinum alloys — ICP-OES method using an internal standard element’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Precious Metals Sectional Committee and approval of the Metallurgical Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2011 which was identical with ISO 11494 : 2008. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 11494 : 2019.
