1 SCOPE
1.1 This standard specifies uniform alternative provisions concerning the approval of vehicles of categories M1 and N1 as defined in IS 14272 with regard to braking as per IS 11852.
1.2 This standard does not cover,
a) vehicles with a design speed not exceeding 25 km/h; and
b) vehicles fitted for invalid drivers.
