This Indian Standard (Part 3) (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 60034-3 : 2020 ‘Rotating electrical machines — Part 3: Specific requirements for synchronous generators driven by steam turbines or combustion gas turbines and for synchronous compensators’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Rotating Machinery Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.
This standard was first published in 2016 which was identical with IEC 60034-3 : 2007. This revision has been undertaken to align the standard with the latest version of IEC 60034-3.
