1 Scope
1.1 GeneralThis standard specifies requirements for an Aerospace Quality ManagementSystem where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability toconsistently provide product that meets aerospace customer and applicableregulatory requirements.
Note - In this standard, the term `product' applies only to the productintended for, or required by, an aerospace customer.
1.2 Application
All requirements of this standard are aerospace sector-specific and areintended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, sizeand product provided.
Where any requirement(s) of this standard cannot be applied due to thenature of an organization and its product, this can be considered forexclusion.
Where exclusions are made, claims of conformity to this standard are notacceptable unless these exclusions are limited to requirements within 7,and such exclusions do not affect the organization's ability, orresponsibility, to provide product that meets Aerospace Customer andapplicable regulatory requirements.
