NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Second Revision) which is identical with ISO 10315 : 2021 ‘Cigarettes - Determination of nicotine in total particulate matter from the mainstream smoke - Gas-chromatographic method’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Tobacco and Tobacco Products Sectional Committee and approval of Food and Agriculture Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2012 by adoption of ISO 10315: 2000. The first revision was brought out in 2016 to align with ISO 10315 : 2013. The second revision of tis standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 10315 : 2021.
