Revised Standard from Last Update.
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 1) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 10362-1 : 2019 ‘Cigarettes - Determination of water in total particulate matter from the mainstream smoke - Part 1: Gas-chromatographic method’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards, on recommendation of the Tobacco and Tobacco Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Food and Agriculture Divisional Council.
This standard was first published in 2012 by adopting ISO 10362-1 : 1999 ‘Cigarettes - Determination of water in smoke condensates - Part 1: Gas-chromatographic method’ under dual numbering system. The first revision of this standard is undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 10362-1 : 2019.
The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
