1. Scope

1.1 This standard lays down the requirements for installation of gas based instantaneous water heaters.

1.2 This standard also applies to the associated components like piping and equipment used for installation of the water heater.

1.3 In case instructions given in the standard are not followed exactly, it may result in asphyxia, fire or explosion causing personal injury or damage to the property.
