This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 4319 : 1977 ‘Surface active agents — Detergents for washing fabrics — Guide for comparative testing of performance’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Soaps and Other Surface Active Agents Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.
