New Standard from Last Update.
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 4) which is identical with ISO 12215-4 : 2002 ‘Small craft — Hull construction and scantlings — Part 4: Workshop and manufacturing’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Inland Harbour Crafts and Fishing Vessels Sectional Committee and approval of the Transport Engineering Divisional Council.
This Indian Standard is published in various parts. The other parts in this series are:
Part 1 Materials: Thermosetting resins, glass-fibre reinforcement, reference laminate
Part 2 Materials: Core materials for sandwich construction, embedded materials
Part 3 Materials: Steel, aluminium alloys, wood, other materials
Part 6 Structural arrangements and details
Part 8 Rudders
Part 9 Sailing craft appendages
The text of ISO Standard has been proposed to be approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions and terminologies are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
