NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 62430 : 2019 ‘Environmentally conscious design (ECD)-Principles, requirementsand guidance’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian standard on there commendation of the Standardization of environmental aspects for electrical and electronic product sectional committee and approval of the Electrotechnical division council.

This standard was first published in 2017 identical to IEC 62430 : 2009. This revision has been under taken to align this standard with the latest version of IEC 62430.
