1 SCOPE

This standard covers the requirement of heat resisting elastomeric insulated cables for fixed installations for maintaining limited circuit integrity when affected by fire for single phase and three phase system, suitable for operation at voltages up to and including 1100V.

These cables are suitable for use where combination of ambient temperature and temperature rise due to load results in conductor temperature not exceeding 90ºC under normal operation and 250ºC under short circuit conditions.

Note - The cables conforming to this standard may be operated continuously at a power frequency voltage 10 percent higher than rated voltage.
