NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) which is identical with ISO 17226-2 : 2018 “Leather - Chemical determination of formaldehyde content - Part 2: Method using colorimetric analysis” issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Leather, Tanning Materials And Allied Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2015 which was identical with ISO 17226-2 : 2008. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with latest version of ISO 17226-2 : 2018.
