Revised Standard from Last Update.

NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 21102 : 2020 ‘Adventure tourism - Leaders - Personnel competence’ issued by the International organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Related Services Sectional Committee and approval of the Services Sector Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2016 which was identical with ISO/TR 21102 : 2013. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 21102: 2020.

The major changes in this revision are as follows:

a) ISO 20611 has been added as a reference in the Introduction;

b) Normative references have been included in Clause 2;

c) Requirements have been added (previously there were recommendations) in Clauses 4 to 7; and

d) Information on qualifications for leaders (formal and otherwise) has been added in 7.1.
