1.Scope

1.1 This standard applies to single-deck rigid or articulated vehicles designed and constructed for the carriage of more than 22 passengers, whether seated or standing in addition to the driver and crew.

1.2 It does not apply to medium and high capacity vehicles designed and constructed for urban and suburban/ city transport with area for standing passengers, to allow movement of passengers associated with frequent stops and the low capacity vehicles which are designed and constructed for urban and sub-urban/ city transport exclusively for carrying seated passengers.
