1. Scope

This standard prescribes requirements, method of sampling and tests for the material commercially known as thermoplastic polymer based coatings intended to be used as an anticorrosive coating for theprotection from corrosion in steel structures, pipe lines, steel towers (transmission/telecom), bridges, flyovers,vehicle chassis, vehicle underbody, reinforcement bars (better substitute of fusion epoxy), concrete tanks and pipeline inside coating, building exterior and terrace,etc. This material is also having waterproofing properties specially when applied in civil constructions and wood products.
