NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 17442-2 : 2020 ‘Financial services - Legal entity identifier (LEI) - Part 2: Application in digital certificates’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Banking and Financial Services Sectional Committee and approval of the Services Sector Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2018 as an identical adoption of ISO 17442 : 2012 ‘Financial services - Legal entity identifier (LEI)’ under dual numbering system. This first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 17442 : 2020, which has been technically revised and split into the following two parts:
