This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 62684 : 2018 ‘Interoperability specifications of common external power supplies (EPS) for use with data-enabled mobile telephones’ issued by International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Audio, Video and Multimedia Systems and Equipment Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council

This Standard was originally published in 2016 and was identical to IEC 62684 : 2011. The first revision of this standard aligns this Indian Standard with IEC 62684 : 2018.
