NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with ISO 15930-1:2001 ‘Graphic technology - Prepress digital data exchange - Use of PDF - Part 1: Complete exchange using CMYK data (PDF/X-1 and PDF/X-1a)’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Publication and Graphic Technology Sectional Committee and approval of the Management and Systems Division Council.

This standard defines methods for the exchange of digital data within the graphic arts industry and for the exchange of files between graphic arts establishments.
