NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO/IEC/IEEE 16085 : 2021 ‘Systems and software engineering - Life cycle processes - Risk management’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) jointly was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Software and System Engineering Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2015 and was identical to ISO/IEC 16085 : 2006. The first revision of this standard aligns this Indian Standard with ISO/IEC/IEEE 16085 : 2021.
