NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 16549 : 2021 ‘Textiles - Unevenness of textile strands - Capacitance method’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Physical Methods of Test Sectional Committee and approval of the Textiles Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2016 and was based on ISO 16549 : 2004. This standard has been revised again to align it with the latest ISO 16549 : 2021 on the subject.
