This Indian Standard (Part 5) which is identical with ISO 9241-5 : 1998 ‘Ergonomic requirements for office work with visual display terminals (VDTs) — Part 5: Workstation layout and postural requirements’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Ergonomics Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.
