1. Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the specification and performance requirements for polypropylene spun bonded non-woven fabric used for crop cover andfruit skirting bags for agricultural and horticultural applications.

1.2 While the standard refers various crops and vegetables for use of crop covers, and various fruits for fruit skirting bags, one should not interpret that this standard is applicable to only those crops, vegetablesand fruits mentioned in this standard. The standard may be applied to other crops, vegetables and fruits, based on the pertinent available scientific data.
