NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 4) which is identical with ISO 29463-4 : 2011 ‘High efficiency filters and filter media for removing particles in air — Part 4: Test method for determining leakage of filter elements — Scan method’ was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Sectional Committee and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division Council.

This Indian Standard is published in five parts. Other parts in this series are:

Part 1 Classification, performance testing and marking

Part 2 Aerosol production, measuring equipment, particle counting statistics

Part 3 Testing flat sheet filter media

Part 5 Test method for filter elements

The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
