IS 16753 : Part 5 : 2024/ISO 29463-5 : 2022 High-Efficiency Filters and Filter Media for Removing Particles in Air - Part 5 Test Method for Filter Elements
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 5) (First Revision) which is identical to ISO 29463-5 : 2022 'High-efficiency filters and filter media for removing particles in air - Part 5: Test method for filter elements' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Sectional Committee and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division council.
The standard was first published in 2018. The present revision has been taken up to harmonize with ISO 29463-5 : 2022.
Major changes in this revision are as follows:
a) Normative references have been updated; and
b) Annex C on method for testing and classification of filters using media with charged fibres has been revised.
This Indian Standard has been issued in several parts. Other parts of this standard under the general title 'High efficiency filters and filter media for removing particles in air' are:

The text of ISO standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appears referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
