NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 20193 : 2019 ‘Tobacco and tobacco products - Determination of the width of the strands of cut tobacco’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Tobacco and Tobacco Products Sectional Committee.

This standard was first published in 2018 by adopting ISO 20193 : 2012 ‘Tobacco and tobacco products - Determination of the width of the strands of cut tobacco’ under dual numbering system. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 20193 : 2019.
